Taking a break from the United Nations to focus on serving local communities...

Dear friends,

On 30 September 2025, I officially concluded my tenure as WFP's Country Director for the Pacific Multi-Country Office and Representative to the Pacific region.

On 31 October 2025, I officially separated from WFP and the UN system after an amazing 25 years in WFP and 31 years in the UN system.

These past decades serving humanity have been an incredible part of my journey and they have greatly shaped the person that I am today. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to have felt and experienced the love, the joy, the happiness, and the pain, the sadness and anxiety, of people in different parts of the world. These mixed emotions shape who we are as humans, and HOPE is what keeps us going.

I take this opportunity to thank you my colleagues, my friends, and my family, very sincerely for being part of my journey over the past decades, and I am grateful for allowing me to be part of yours.

On behalf of my nomadic family, I thank you for everything and I wish you all the best as you continue to serve and be the voice for the voiceless. The world will be a better place for all with your positive and steadfast contributions.

As I move to the next phase on my life's journey, I will keep up all posted in the coming weeks about future plans in serving my communities, especially the youth. They are the present and the future of our societies and they are the custodians of the systems that we build together.
